Description


This full day bus tour will begin and end in Sauk/Columbia County and will travel to urban Milwaukee for a day of experiential learning, person to person connection, and cultural exchange. This event is being organized by Rural Urban Flow, an initiative supported by Wormfarm Institute, in collaboration with Wisconsin Farmers Union (Sauk, Columbia, and MKE-Waukesha WFU chapters) and +More Perfect Union

A brief itinerary can be found below (subject to some change as logistics are finalized). 

  • 8am-10am: Sauk/ Columbia County-> MKE drive 
  • 10am-1pm: Kinship Farmtour and volunteer work session, followed by lunch and conversation with +More Perfect Union 
    • Kinship Farm: 2610 N Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53212
  • 1:30- 4:30 pm: Alice’s Garden Urban Farmtour with conversations with Venice Williams & growers & producers 
    • Alice's Garden Urban Farm: 2136 N 21st St, Milwaukee, WI 53205
  • 4:30pm-7pm: 43rd+Vliet event at Washington Park Media Center and neighboring small businesses, including creative activities and dinner.
    • Washington Park Media Center: 4303 W Vliet St, Milwaukee, WI 53208
  • 7pm-9pm: MKE -> Sauk/Columbia County drive 

This event is prioritizing bringing Sauk and Columbia County WFU members to urban Milwaukee for an exchange. MKE-Waukesha chapter members are encouraged to meet up with the tour once we get to town!
