Sharing the Bounty: Building Blocks for Cooperative Endeavors
Have you ever wished for more heads and hands working together in your food or farm business? If you’re “co-op-curious,” join us on October 16 for a virtual panel discussion about how the building blocks of various collaborative business models could help you achieve your goals.
Wisconsin Farmers Union will be discussing various components of these collaborative models to think about how they can be pieced together creatively to support the future of your business, land, and community. In particular, we’ll talk about how an existing business can be intentionally converted as part of a succession plan. We will explore employee ownership, cooperatives, trusts, land commons, and other creative components of these cooperative models. With time for Q&A and a list of resources to help you continue learning, our guests will openly share the opportunities and challenges of various models and how they might best help you achieve your goals.
