Description

Join us to learn about and strengthen your parliamentary procedure skills. Parliamentary procedure is an important tool that gives us a shared understanding and a connection to productively hold meetings and make decisions. This Lunch and Learn will help you participate in the WFU Annual State Convention, your local government meetings, and help you run your own meetings. Kate Ullman, the the founder and executive director of the Legislative Semester, will join us to practice and understand parliamentary procedure and Roberts Rules of Order. 


Kate Ullman is the founder and executive director of the Legislative Semester 501(c)3,which trains teachers on the use of parliamentary procedure and civil discourse in the classroom to engage students in discussion of current policy issues. In 2022 she founded the Wisconsin Civic Learning Coalitionan organization aimed at strengthening nonpartisan K12 civics education in Wisconsin schools. She also served on the Ashland City Council as the City Council President. Kate holds a BA in International Relations from Stanford University, and a MS in Applied Economics from UW- Madison
