Leading in a time of crisis: lessons from MN and WI Food Access Organizations

Wednesday, March 11, 2026 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Food access organizations serve diverse community needs and are trusted to provide services with care and compassion. In times of crisis, their responses must be nimble, able to activate newly engaged community members, manage and deliver an influx of resources, and consider how to safely serve the needs of their most vulnerable clients. In this webinar, a panel of speakers from MN and WI will provide insights and respond to questions based on their recent experiences.

Topics that will be covered:

  • Resources and protocols: Know Your Rights and crisis communication
  • Staff and Volunteer training: Leading a culture of flexibility and care
  • Operational responses: Plans vs Reality
  • Community partnerships: Leaning into and understanding the roles in the Network

This webinar will be offered live and not recorded.
