In 2016, our newly formed South Central WFU held a successful book club “On Civility”. Since then we’ve heard many comments like, “I must’ve missed that day in US History.” How can the electoral college vote change the popular vote?” “I’d run for local office but I don’t know how much of a commitment it is or how to.” “Does WFU endorse candidates?” “Just how big is my Assembly district?”
Your SCWFU Chapter has put together an online/call-in forum The Civics Roadshow during the month of October. Based on the teaching principles of "There’s no such thing as a dumb question”, and “Be a guide on the side”, these won’t be a lecture or class, but rather a group of citizens getting questions answered, letting others hear your voice, learning something new, or becoming aware of opportunities for leadership.
Please register by pushing the "Register for Event" button in the upper right-hand corner of this page to receive the link and phone number to join this call.
