About The Event

You’re invited to a pasture walk at Little Red Farms and learn about how these beginning farmers have converted a former dairy farm into a premier grazing farm with beef cow/calf/yearling trios, pasture pork and layer chickens.  Learn about how the Bruggens utilized NRCS EQIP cost share programs to off-set costs of fencing, waterlines and pasture seeding and how they are currently finishing a livestock feeding and housing building.  Understand how managed rotational grazing is an economically viable restorative agricultural practice which enhances water quality, soil health, carbon sequestration and pollinator & wildlife habitat.

A warm invite to beginning farmers and new landowners interested in conservation resources.
