February 15, 2026 - WFU Foundation Grant Application
The Wisconsin Farmers Union (WFU) Foundation is proud to support our members and their communities through grant opportunities for events and projects that enhance life in rural Wisconsin. Any non-profit organization, individual, or WFU Chapter serving Wisconsin with proposals meeting the Foundation’s mission is eligible for consideration.
Our Mission
The WFU Foundation supports efforts that:
- Foster family farming
- Enhance the quality of rural life
- Provide opportunities for public education and dialogue on rural issues
- Encourage cooperative economic development
Grant Categories
Please select the category that best fits your proposal:
- Conference or Organizational Sponsorship: Funding for event-based support or sponsorships of organizations that align with the WFU mission. This usually includes visibility or recognition for the WFU Foundation, such as logo placement or tabling opportunities.
- General Support or Donations: Intended for general funding appeals or broad operational support for entities working toward the Foundation's goals.
- Programs or Projects: Support for specific, time-bound initiatives, typically under $1,000. WFU Chapters should use this category for local initiatives aimed at increasing outreach, providing rural education, and developing community partnerships.
Deadlines & Review Process
Grant applications are reviewed quarterly by the WFU Foundation Board of Directors.
- Quarterly Deadlines: February 15th, May 15th, August 15th, and November 15th.
- Late Applications: Once a deadline has passed, applications will be considered during the next quarterly cycle.
- Timeline: Awards may take up to 6 weeks to process. Please apply well in advance of your project date to ensure funding is available when needed.
