Regional Convenings on Sustaining the Future of Farm to Food Access Programs

Now’s the time to set the stage for the future of Farm to Food Access work in Wisconsin.  To do so, the WI LFPA team is hosting a series of 1.5 hour virtual discussions to review what we’ve done and help each region begin laying plans for the future.

In each meeting, we will review the data we've collected about the WI LFPA program and discuss how to strengthen and build upon this work after WI LFPA ends.

  • Hear from the partners about the current and future state of WI LFPA
  • Meet the people participating in WI LFPA in your region
  • Discuss priorities for the continuation of this work
  • Organize around next steps after the completion of WI LFPA

To date, the program has served 65 counties and delivered $2.04 million worth of food, networking 180 farmers and 91 food access programs! Additionally, nine community-based programs have been funded by WI LFPA and are going strong.

The WI LFPA program is currently funded through June 2025. Future funding for this program has not been announced. Food access partners are looking at funding source options for 2025/2026, but food security funding is uncertain. It is important to understand and share what we are accomplishing and organize for the future of farm to food access in Wisconsin.

Each regional convening will take place virtually from 11:30am to 1:00pm on Zoom.  The registration link will be sent at least 48 hours in advance.  The virtual meetings will be recorded so that the conversation can be shared with people who are unable to attend.  To enrich the conversation, people should register and attend the event(s) in the region most aligned with the community they serve.
