 Wisconsin Farmers Union is offering scholarships for members to attend the National Farmers Union Women’s Conference, set for November 7-9 in San Antonio, TX.  You can find more information about Women's Conference here: www.eventcreate.com/e/nfuwomensconference 

 

WFU scholarships cover registration and select other costs. First-time attendees are preferred, but all interested members are welcome to apply. Please indicate on the scholarship if you have attended previously. A limited number of scholarships are available. Women's Conference is exclusive to Farmers Union members. Not a member yet? The WFU Board of Directors has set the number of scholarships and the total reimbursement limit for Wisconsin Farmers Union members to attend and participate in the National Farmers Union Women's Conference. The limit of reimbursable participant support by WFU for this year is $1,000 per participant with 4 scholarships available

Selected Participant Expectations: 

  • Participate in a pre-event program orientation conference call.
  • Attend all meetings scheduled on the agenda, including evening gatherings. 
  • Regarding reimbursement, participants should: 
    • Reserve and pay for travel to conference and lodging. 
    • Pay for any meals not included in the conference agenda, including meals while traveling.
    • Give a report of your experience: in person at county/local meetings, WFU Emerging Leaders, and/or in writing (blog post, newsletter article, etc. The WFU communications teams can assist you with this). 
    • Encourage others in your county or local to attend in the future. 
    • Keep track of expenses and promptly send receipts to the state office within 30 days of the event. *Reimbursement may take up to four (4) weeks after submission of receipts. Total reimbursement is limited to $1,000. *
